We are currently seeking a Server/PC Support
Specialist for a long-term contract.
Position Description:
The Server/PC Support Specialist is responsible for
acting as first tier technical support handling both
customer and monitoring system generated issues.
This position will be a member of a team that will
be the initial contact point for The I.T. Guys
call-in customers and will perform initial analysis
and troubleshooting to rectify problems as well as
escalate problems as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.
Act as the initial contact for customer
initiated issues.
2.
Handle customer initiated issues.
3.
Handle monitoring system generated issues.
4.
Perform bench-level hardware troubleshooting
and repair as needed.
5.
Perform preventative maintenance on
customers' networks and systems.
6.
Maintain acceptable patch levels on assigned
networks.
7.
Document and prepare higher level issues for
engineers.
8.
Provide on-site technical support as needed.
9.
Provide functionality testing on new patch
releases as needed.
Requirements:

Intermediate knowledge of desktop operating
systems (Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X)

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Beginning/Intermediate knowledge of networked
workstation and server configurations
-
Beginning/Intermediate knowledge of network
devices (routers, firewalls, switches)

Excellent communications/customer relationship
skills

Excellent organizational skills
Educational Requirements:
-
AS/BS in Computer science or related discipline,
A+, Network+, MCP or equivalent industry
experience.
Work Experience Requirements:
-
1 to 3 years of desktop experience

Help Desk experience a plus

1 -3 years server experience
